Lookr Search Not Working? 7 Fixes That Actually Help

When The app search returns nothing, the app is almost never broken. The search backend, your network, or a stale cache is. Blank results are the single most reported this app complaint, and in our testing the fix was always one of the seven below. Try them in order; most people are fixed by step two.

Key takeaways: Clear the app cache first, then switch networks, then force stop and reopen. If results are still blank, check for an update, then reinstall clean. Nine times out of ten, one of these resolves it.

1. Clear the cache (not the data)

Open Settings, Apps, it, Storage, and tap Clear cache. This wipes temporary search files without touching your library or settings. Reopen the app and search again. This alone fixes the majority of blank result cases we have seen.

2. Switch your network

The search backend sometimes fails on specific networks while everything else on your phone works fine. If you are on Wi-Fi, switch to mobile data, or the reverse, and search again. If results appear, the problem was the network path, not the app.

3. Force stop and reopen

In the same App info screen, tap Force stop, wait a few seconds, and reopen the AI video search app. This kills any stuck background search session.

4. Check you are on v1.5.7

Older builds can lose search compatibility when the backend changes. Open the official download page and compare your installed version. Updating is a straight install over the top.

5. Restart the phone

A full reboot clears stuck DNS and socket states that survive app restarts. It sounds basic because it works.

6. Reinstall clean

Uninstall this video discovery app, reboot, then install the XAPK fresh. This clears corrupted data that cache clearing cannot reach. Your downloaded videos in shared storage survive, but back up anything in the app's private folder first.

7. Try at a different time

Rarely, the search backend itself has a bad hour. If everything above fails and other apps work fine, wait an hour and retry before assuming your phone is the problem.

If search works but downloads fail, that is a different problem with different fixes. See our download failure guide.

Questions about this guide

Why does the app search work on mobile data but not Wi-Fi?

Some networks block or throttle the search backend's endpoints. Switching networks bypasses the block. A VPN can also help, but try the network switch first.

Will clearing data delete my downloaded videos?

Clearing cache is safe. Clearing data resets the app and can remove app-private files, so use cache first and only clear data if a guide tells you to.

Is blank search a sign the app is fake or broken?

No. It is the most common real user complaint about the genuine app and is almost always cache or network related.
